Role and Purpose:
The position of the Accounting Clerk (AC) is responsible for the bookkeeping and administrative support of a location.
Corporate Controller and Operation/Location Manager
The AC function has the following responsibilities:
Accounts receivable - customer invoicing, follow up with customers for appropriate approvals of supporting documents, customer collections to improve DSO
Accounts payable – receiving vendor invoices, coordinating payments and communicating with vendors
Assists with payroll and benefits administration
Assists with month-end financial reporting package and with annual financial audit
Assists operations with the HSE and insurance MSA compliance.
Sort incoming mail, faxes and courier deliveries for distribution.
Purchase, receive and store the office and kitchen supplies, ensuring the basic supplies are always available and secure.
Other duties as requested and as required.
Education: Minimum High School completion and preferably a 2-year associate degree in bookkeeping/accounting or similar.
Language: Minimum fluent in English, good Spanish is a plus.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping, office and operations support experience. Proficiency with MS Office suite is essential. Experience with accounting software is desired and experience with Navision 365 is an asset.
Good communication skills are required as the position entails developing and maintaining relationships with both with peers within the company as well as with clients.
